Installing Software

Hi there, As a X Linux user (Novice) where they give you certain Tools 4 Downloading & installing Software Like " Synaptic, YUM,SmartPM & Portage etc" that I am really struggling to understand how Software is installed on Solaris10.

Could someone be Kind enough to maybe give just a bit of a RunDown on how or what is used to Install SoftWare on Solaris.

I dont mean to seem rood but it feels like theres no order when it comes to looking for info etc as every SUN or Solaris Web page seems so Bloated with different information it gets confusing on where to search,

AnyWay would appreciate any help.

Perhaps pkg-get ( http://technopark02.blogspot.com/2005/06/solaris-installing-appspackages-with. html) helps you get started with software installations.
