Renew SSL Certificate

Hi,

I've installed an ssl certificate on my gateway but now the certificate is expired. In order to renew my certificate should I create a new csr or can I send the original csr to my CA ? My CA permit to renew a certificate by re-sending the original csr but I want to be sure that the certadmin script doesn't complain if I try to import a certificate that it's already associated to a csr.

Thanx!

I've tried but it seem that it's mandatory to generate the csr on the machine

Yep, you should have no problem, I've used certadmin with good success with 6.3 (2004Q2), follow the SRA docs on this, and it should work with no problem. generate a CSR, get your cert, and then update/import the new cert.

a new CSR is always a good idea.

make sure you import your new cert before your old one expires, 'just in case' when they give you a new cert it's dated the day they send it to you, so you can immediately give it a try.
