Operating System (Linux Versions) Compatibilty Sun Java System Portal 7.0
Hi,
Is anyone suggest me the Operating System Comaptibiliy for Sun Java SystemPortal 7.0 Installation
I have try on the following Linux Flavour
1. Redhat Linux 9
2. RHEL 4.0
3. Fedora Core 3.0
But Unable to install / Configure Sun Portal server server.

Even though Portal 7 was not part of the Java Enterprise Relese, it uses some of the components (Access Manager and Directory Server) that are part of the Java ES 2005Q4. So, Portal 7 it's supported on the same Linux versions as tJava ES 2005Q4, which are: Linux Red Hat WS/AS/ES 2.1 U2 and Linux Red Hat WS/AS/ES 3.0 U1.
Now, it may be possible to install it on other versions/distributions, but that has not being Q&A'ed and certainly is not supported. So, if you run into any issue, you need to relay in this forum :-).
BTW, What errors are you getting ?.

Thanx for your reply.When I tried to install Sun Java Portal 7 on Fedora Core 3,all the components including Sun One Directory Server,Sun Access Manager,Sun Web Server,Sun Java Application Server were installed successfully but the Portal Server Installation and Configuration failed.
Please suggest me steps that how to install/configure Sun Portal Server 7 on Fedora Core 3.
