RSS Portlet

I've installed the RSS Portlet and am wondering where to adjust the defaults, such as disableMaxAge. When I change them through the admin console, they don't take affect and when I change them directly within the Portlet.xml nothing changes either.

I'm more concerned with the portlet.xml file as this seems to be the only location where I can add supported locales.Does anyone know where I can find useful documentation on the RSS Portlets? I have EDIT and HELP mode set in the portlet.xml file as well but neither are showing in the channels.

Are you trying to configure the RSSPortlet deployed with the PS developer sample? Or have you deployed the portlet somewhere else? Is this on PS7 or PS6?

Check the logs for any exceptions that might be occuring in the edit.jsp/help.jsp.

You cannot modify the portlet.xml once a portlet is in place. You would have to make the changes and re-deploy the portlet war.

When you say you've deployed the "RSS Portlet" does this mean you created a portlet using the XMMProvider or a portlet you created or downloaded from somewhere?

I've downloaded the free Sun Java System Portal Server RSS Portlet 1.0 and deployed it onto our portal server using the pdeploy command. I'm not using the XML provider channel that comes with it. Has anyone used this free download?
