Document Management!

Is Sun portal server providing any thing for document management. Our company making research for portal servers. I have downloaded and installed portal server 6 and 7 but there were nothing for document management. I didnt understand what kind of a portal server the sun's one. most important things are identity management and document management. ok identity management wery well but there is nothing document management or am I wrong?
