Error modifying password

since we upgrade our email server 4 months back , i have been getting ' Error Modifying password' when user attempts to change their respective passwords.

Nothing in the DS logs or Messeging Server logs regarding the error.. i know its kinda weird .. any ideas ...

How are your users attempting to change passwords. Exactly where are they going? What did you upgrade from?

> How are your users attempting to change passwords.> Exactly where are they going? What did you upgrade> from?Users are changing password from the web console .. options--password . The upgrade was from JES2005Q1 to JES2005Q4.

Hm. And you see no activity in your LDAP log?I suspect that you may just have missed the BIND from the webmail user. It's possible that you have somehow set an ACI in Directory that prevents the webmail user from accessing that part of LDAP.

Examine your Access log more carefully. You may need to restart Messaging Server to see the BIND, as Messaging opens a pool of long-term connections. There may be some other error in your configuration. It's truly hard for me to guess what might be a problem, with little data.
