So, do the messages take a long time?Do they ever get sent?Is there any consistancy? Do all your users get this all the time? You've got to give me enough data to work on, or I am only making a guess.

Hi Jay,

I only received a complaint from 1 user.

However, this also occurs on my test machine: the message takes a long time then after too many retries it is sent. All users get this. This happens sometimes - perhaps when the CPU is overloaded because of the brightmail server consuming significant CPU usage.

thanks,

L.

1. If "fat" clients have no problem sending messages, then SMTP is working ok.

2. If UWC (and likely webmail) are having problems, then it's either a configutil setting for "service.http.smtphost", or something like that. This setting tells UWC/webmail where to send smtp traffic.

3. The only other thing I can think of, is that it's the uploading that happens first, that is the problem. The entire message must be saved on the server, before the server can send it out via smtp.It will help to understand where the problem happens. The error message and your description don't really show me.....
