First step before SSO

Hi,

I want to install a complete SSO (identity Management) in my network. I have installed Sun ONE Directory Server 5.2 but when I lauch the installation it require an hostname for my server with a domainname (computername.domain).

The problem is :

I haven't any domain on my network. I use Novell and use only Workgroup.

Can anyone help me to install Directory Server without a domain ?

Thanks.

Bests regards.

I presume you want to install DS5.2 for Windows since you mentioned the Windows term "computername" and "workgroup".

Assuming the hostname of your WIndows host is ldap1, the LDAP domain name you are going to setup is "example.com", the IP is 192.168.1.168

Just add this line to %WINDIR%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

192.168.1.168 ldap1.example.com ldap1

And run "setup" again.
