Problem about Sun Application Server

A Sun Application Server is recently installed at my site. The server is sit behind a Cisco PIX Firewall. But I found that a lot of TCP connection timeout when user access the application server at remote site. Since the PIX will timout half-closed TCP connection after 10 second, is anyone knowing whether the application server will make user half-closed connection? Please help!
