numeric keypad in gnome-terminal

Hi all,

I'm experiencing issues with the numeric keypad in gnome-terminal.

When the NumLock is on, the terminal recognizes only keys for 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8.

All other keys for numbers maintain their special meaning, e.g., Page Up, as if the NumLock was not on.

Numeric keypad works just fine in other JDS applications.

I'm working with JDS, Release 3 that is bundles with Solaris 10 1/06 for SPARC (GNOME2 6.1). This used to function properly for older version of GNOME 2 that was bundled with Solaris 9.

Is this a known bug or am I missing some configuration?

Thanks in advance,

Maciej

I haven't heard of this problem. Have you looked at the keybindings in the preferences? What type of keyboard are you using?

There are no special keybindings defined for the numeric keypad in the preferences.I'm using PC keyboard through VNC. VNC viewer passes all special keys directly to the X server. The system is up-to-date on all GNOME patches.
