Messaging/Calendar Installation

I am trying to install Messaging/Calendar on Solaris 10. I plan on using an existing Directory Server running on a different server. When I attempt to configure the Administration Server, which is required for Messaging, I fail when trying to connect to the Configuration LDAP as "admin". I am fairly positive that I have the correct password since I can login into the console as admin. What may be causing the inability to connect to the LDAP?

Thanks,

Pete

Since this is pretty specific to messaging, you might get better answers in the messaging server forum http://forum.sun.com/jive/forum.jspa?forumID=15 -- until then I'd be suspicious of either the directory server setup (you did run the comm_dssetup.pl script to get the schema configured?) or a typo when entering the LDAP info (LDAP URL, Bind DN) when configuring. I don't know where this information is stored, so I can't tell you where to look, sorry.
