Analyze hangs
Hi,
I have been using the Update Manager fine for over a month now, but over the last week or so, I have noticed that the analzye command seems to have stopped working properly. When you go to check for new updates, the analyze progress window starts and the bar progresses to just over half way and then stops, I have left the program running for over 12 hours and there is no further progress. If you choose to cancel the job, using the cancel option provided it takes a very long time for the progress window to close.
Any suggestions on further info I need to post to help with this problem would also be welcome.
Thanks

The last patches listed installed are:
122856-01 SunsOS 5:10: sendmail patch
121081-04 SunsOS 5:10: Connected Customer Agents 1.1.0
119900-02 Gnome 2.6.0: Gnome Libtiff
I have tried to remove these to see if functionality returns, I could select the patches, and get the confirm removal window but I then got a message saying the listing is out of date and will be refreshed when the dialog box is closed. However the list is not refreshed when the dialog closed and the same message is repeated each time you try and remove the patches.
It is both the GUI and the command line that have the same problem with "smpatch analyze"

Can you use the following command to run the update manager application in debug mode -
# /usr/bin/updatemanager -debug 2>&1 > /var/tmp/output.txt
Once started please run through the steps you normally would to re-create the problem so that it gets logged. Once you have done this please collect any output from the terminal window as well as the /var/tmp/output.txt file and send them to the following email address - rsc-forum-inbound@sun.com
Please include the following in the subject line of the email -
