After applying patch: 119108-06 the UM is still 1.0 !?

Hello,

I have added manually the patch no. 119108-06 to my S10 x86 machine. I expect to see under the 'About' dialog box in UM the version 1.0.1 - but it is not it is still 1.0

Question: How can I be sure I have 1.0.1 properly installed on my system ?

If I cd into the patch directory and check the README file I can see even the README file talking about 1.0.1

So who says that this patch number is upgrading the UM to 1.0.1 !?

The 'About' dialog box will still show version 1.0 after the upgrade. You can be sure that 1.0.1 is properly installed just by confirming using showrev that the patch is now installed, like you have already done.

If you want further evidence than this then you could do a 'pkginfo -l' on some of the associated packages, like SUNWupdatemgrr & SUNWupdatemgru, to see if the packages INSTDATE matches that with the date of the patch install.

Just make sure you follow the 'Special Install Instructions' in the README file if the patch was installed on top of an earlier release of the Sun Update Connection client software (patch IDs 119107-01 or 119107-03) *and* the system is enabled to be managed from the Sun Update Connection hosted application.
