Re-register after jumpstart?

Have a system that I created a flash archive from that was up and running, registered with the UM portal and was being applied updates from there. I wiped and then reinstalled that same system from the flash archive and now UM doesn't see that it needs new patches.

When I run 'smpatch analyze' it sits and hangs forever. Should I just remove the system from the UM portal and re-register it or is there another way?

Installing from a flash archive (of a registered system) or running

sys-unconfig on a registered system; will erase the configuration

from that system (i.e. the system will not know it has ever registered).

The portal would not know anything has changed.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure of the best corrective action. Deleting the system from the portal and re-registering might work; but I'm not

sure of the impact on your entitlement key, i.e. you may not be

entitled to register another system (?).

Perhaps someone else knows more.

Ok, so here's something interesting.

I just launched update manager on the server to try and re-register it and it says I need 120537-01. However, the portal says there are 0 updates for that system.

It seems as though the jumpstart doesn't really clean everything out? One thing that's interesting is that the portal says the system is checking in...

So now I just deleted the system from the portal and launched update manager again and it's not prompting me for registration information. It takes me to the main 'Available Updates' screen that shows I need 120537-01 installed.

Now, I click on 'Manage Subscription' and all the fields are empty. Fill them in and it takes me back to the screen with the available updates. Oh, and it's back in the portal with 0 updates available.

Hi,Can you confirm if your problem has been resolved or not.It is intresting that after deleting the system from the portal it is then placed back in the portal. After deletion it usually takes around 24 hours before a host can be successfully registered with the
