Problem with Sun Update contract entitlements

I've been trying to get this Sun Update Connection thing working for a few days now. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or if there is a problem.

Pre-requisites;

I have two contracts with Sun, one Premium software-only contract and one Silver hardware/software contract. Both are in good standing and any Sun Online users tied to these contracts are able to function properly.

Attempts;

I attempted to install Sun Update Connection on one system, register it with the GUI application that one apparently must use. After which I was able to patch up that system. I thought to myself that I'd register another system. The second system was rejected, with the complaint that the username was already registered.

I then attempted to set up a Sun Update Connection Proxy (previously known as a LPS) on the already properly registered system. After which I attempted to use smpatch(1M) to apply patches on a few systems, fetching the patches from the patch host. This failed.

I now tried to run the registration wizard again on the patch host (already registered system) to verify my information, because the logs were complaining that my credentials were rejected. I now learn that neither of my contracts are valid keys anymore.

What gives?

What am I doing wrong? I am rather up the creek as I am forced by Sun to use this patching procedure and I have no alternative. Is there a workaround?

I am having this same problem too. I believe the authentication mechanism is broken. I have a valid contract that I use on some systems and they were fine before but not today.

Alex,It would be helpful for troubleshooting purposes if you provided us with the asset id associated with your patch system. You can get it using the following command:/usr/lib/cc-ccr/bin/ccr -g cns.assetidYou do not need to be root to run that
