updatemanager doesn't load all patches

When I go onto Sunsolve and look up Solaris 10 Kernel Patch, I get 118822-08 displayed. When I run updatemanager, it shows no patches are available and 118822-xx IS NOT even installed. Does anyone know how to get the Solaris 10 Kernel Patch to be installed?

I think kernel patches must be installed by hand. From command prompt as root runsmpatch update -i 118822-08When it completes it will instruct you to reboot. During bootup the patch will be installed.

I used the graphical UpdateManager window to successfully install patch 118822-08. All the actions were clicked on.

I might prefer to use the command line approach since my host is very underpowered as a 256MB Ultra-10 PC.

The results of the diagnostic OS kernel message correlates. The "showrev -p" shows the patch at level 08. The graphical output shows it in the installed patches.

I loaded this patch just for kicks. I noticed that the patch said that it was withdrawn when I looked at it yesterday. I was browsing it and I tried to download the patch using the sun support site.
