How do I know what I'm licensed for ?

Based on licensing I can be allowed to get the security pathes only or the complete set of patches .How can I determine for sure what I'm getting ?

Yeah, I'd like to know that too, I see there's a few patches I don't have installed yet, like:

119831-01 Jun/07/05 SunOS 5.10: ufs Patch

It's released, I can download it from sunsolv, but I don't see it update manager. The command smpatch analyze doesn't show it either. Is there a lag, or is my UC login not entitled to them?

Cheers,

Rich

Your problem might also be the one described in post "uninstalled patch does no show up in Available patch" !but , anyway, it would be nice to be able to determine at any time what we are licensed for .

Sun Update Connection services, System Edition provides access to both Free and Fee/Entitled services levels.

- Service Level 1 (Free). This includes access to the Sun Update Manager and requires both user and (basic) system registration. Using the Sun Update Manager users can access all the latest security fixes as they are made available for their system(s). Users of this level need only have Solaris 10, along with the Sun Update Manager installed on their systems.

- Service Level 2 (Fee/Entitled). In addition to the features of Service Level 1, the user has access to the Sun Update Connection Proxy for caching updates locally and for use in connection aggregation to Sun. This level also includes multiple-system remote update functionality which is accessed using the Sun-hosted Web application at http://updates.sun.com. Using either the Sun Update Manager or the Sun-hosted Web application users can access and deploy all the lastest fixes + features (security, device drivers, recommended updates, etc) as they are made available. This level of service requires user and system registration, along with entry of an eligible "subscription key". Users of this level are required to have an active Solaris Service Plan or SunSpectrum agreement.

If you are a current Solaris Service Plan or SunSpectrum support service customer your are eligible for Service Level 2 of the Sun Update Connection service, System Edition. Once the Sun Update Connection services, System Edition 1.0 releases (mid-Summer 2005) you can contact your customer service representative to obtain the necessary "subscription key" to register for Service Level 2. Following the release of 1.0, all new customers will be sent their "subscription key" via email.
