Registration not working

Solaris 10 host. Proxy configured correctly. Login is taking an old password/user combination - don't know why.

After registration I get a message that says :

Error: Unable to get document : " collection\default"

Unkown host (getupdates.sun.com) connecting to https://getupdates.sunlcom/solaris/

Looks to me like its not resolving the hostname - presumably because your HTTP proxy is not set. There are actually 2 places that the proxy gets set:

1) As part of initial registration screens, used only for registration

2) From Update Manager menu items, use for all subsequent access to updates.

Your error message is likely as a result of 2) not being done
