error in localhost:8080

Hi, I've just installed Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 9 in Windows XP, I start the server and it's ok when I click here:

http://localhost:4848/asadmin/admingui/TopFrameset I enter my user and password and I'm in,

but I get the error page when I click http://localhost:8080

I didn't change the default settings in the installation process. and the PATH variable is ok

I started the server in Programs-Sun MicroSystems-Application Server-Start Sefault Server.

And the other problem I'm having is that I can't find the DeployTool, I think it should be in Programs-Sun MicroSystems-Application Server-Deploytool, but it isn't.

For the first issue, take a look at your other thread:

http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=729232&tstart=0

(and I should now also tell you that crossposting is evil :-) )

As for the deploytool - this feature has been obsoleted in this release of the Application Server/Java EE SDK. Since you mentioned in yet another thread that you are trying to follow a book that wants you to use deploytool in Java EE 5 SDK I really have to wonder whether they checked it for accuracy.

I promise not to post "parallel" threads any more.Thanks. Now I've installed J2EE 1.4 and all my problems are gone!!!! or they are starting..

Can you say what features have replaced Deploytool? I am just starting to learn the J2EE technology. I am also using the new NetBeans beta combo. ThanksMessage was edited by: Trini_Rich
