Mouse in Solaris 10

I have a 2 Way Manual Monitor / Keyboard / Mouse Switch Box which is connected to a Solaris 10 box & a Windows box. Since I installed Solaris 10 beta 69 on the box whenever I switch to an existing Gnome session using the switch box, the mouse no longer responds, the cursor just sits there. The keyboard is fine however. In order to get the cursor to respond I have to restart the x server with Ctrk+Alt+Bkspace, which is very irritating if I have multiple sesssions open. I did not encounter this issue with earlier builds of Solaris 9/10. This problem persists with Java Desktop in the FCS version of Solaris 10 also.

I would be grateful if anyone could advise me on a possible solution to this minor but very irritating issue.

Cheers,

Conor

What kind of mouse are you using? PS/2 or USB? I'm having a similar problem with my blade server chassis that has a USB mouse port. Everytime I switch to the solaris blade I have to unplug and plug the USB mouse in order to get Solaris to recognize it.

That's bad luck. I tried that combination on my kvm and I couldn't get it to work. Fortunately it also has a USB port and that's how I was able to make it just removing the USB to PS/2 converter. I guess that you don't have a USB port to try in your KVM, right?
