Supported 4+ channel SATA controllers?

We're looking at building an AMD64 storage controller which we'd like to use with Solaris 10 to manage a large ZFS array. We're wanting the ZFS array to consist of 24 SATA drives. The question is what controllers should we use? The motherboard we intend to use, the Tyan S2882, has only 4 PCI-X slots and one legacy 32-bit PCI slot. Are there any 6 or 8 port PCI-X SATA controllers we could use that are supported by Solaris 10? If not, are there any 4-port SATA cards which we could use in conjunction with a different motherboard, i.e. one with 6 PCI slots?
