Ultra 60, Remove Front & right sidepanel

Hi,

Couldn't find any topic about this in the Handbook, or search, so this question is unique.

:-)

I recently purchased an Ultra 60 (always wanted to have one like that), and 'll have to replace the DVD drive.

Seen from the front, the left side panel is opened quite easily.

But the DVD drive is fixed with some screws on the other side also, so I 'll have to remove the right side panel too.

Since I'm afraid of damaging this beauty by some clumsy move, I kindly ask your advice on how to remove this panel.

BTW: is it possible to remove the front panel too?

This prob is not a classical mindbreaker, but I sure hope you 'll give me some clues.

Thanks in advance, Kuba

the plastic piece surrounding the DVD/floppy just pops off at the side... then there are at least 2 screws that hold the assembly in. then all you do is unplug the scsi cable and power off the DVD.haroldkarl

I just noticed a reply to your other posting in the other forum.

Essentially, as HK noted, pop off the bezel, remove the entire RMA, then take the drive out of the RMA.
