boot errors!

My system (Ultra10-Solaris9) started exhibiting some stange behavior...quite suddenly!

I get the following errors at bootup:

nohup: getexecname() failed

...

/usr/lib/libX.a/bin/rps: Cannot find/execute "rps" in ISA subdirectories

...

When logged in, if I try to open the Desktop Controls folder from the front panel, I get an error message box indicating

" /var/dt/appconfig/appmanager/graeme-mydomain-0/Desktop_Contr ols does not exist".

I cannot launch either the browser or the performance meter from the front panel...nothing happens. If I try to launch mozilla from a command line, I receive this:

[2]% mozilla &

Cannot find mozilla runtime directory. Exiting.

[3]%

INIT: Command is respawning too rapidly. Check for possible errors.

id: SV "/usr/bin/sr load -D -q"

What is going on? What can I do to correct this, without having to reinstall the OS?

Thanks for any help.
