A little more information, please, Dennis.Particularly why?
If it is to re-order the target ID's for the internal drives, I think you're out of luck, because it is the internal SCSI backplane I/O board that defines those ID's -- first disk is #3 and 2nd disk is #1.
Consequently the unchangeable default OBP device paths for those device alias's presume such targetting. It's hard-coded to the sun4m architecture. [ SS4, SS5, SS10, SS20 ]
With Sun Spectrum login to the Sun System Handbook, you can view details on that #501-2462 I/O board. Here are the footnotes from that page...
-- SCSI target assignments are hardwired and cannot be changed.
-- A SCSI command conflict occurs when a Conner 1GB Disk Drive (370-1822, FRU 540-2560) and an IBM 1GB Disk Drive (370-2072, FRU 540-2560) are installed.
-- Chassis 540-2438 was phased out of production in Nov/Dec 1996.
-- Chassis 540-2850 was phased into production in July 1996.
-- Vibration Kit 540-3346, for the SS4 with Quantum 1080S Disk Drive, includes a SCSI Adapter, SCSI Cable, and DC Wire Harness.
-- Only one drive is supported in the SS4 in the Target 3 connector. The Target 1 connector is not supported in the SS4.
