Sparcstation 10 won't boot

I have this Sparcstation 10 which has worked fine until yesterday. When I turn it on it shows me the banner and then it prints "Testing memory" for a half second before it just reboots and the same thing happend again and again...

I tried diag-switch? true and that showed that after testing memory at addr 0 it reboots, all other addresses work fine except at addr 0.

I can do a "Stop+A" and write boot to boot my OS. Before it boots my OS it does a "Testing Memory" but this time it works just fine. Also test /memory works fine too.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a memoty issue, when you set the diag-switch? parameter, are you viewing the output in a terminal?

I'm only using a regular SUN-screen.

I found out recently that after doing set-defaults the machine boots correctly again (I have not maid any changes, so I can't see why this make any diffrents). I have OpenBSD on it and after halting the system via halt and turn the power-button on the back of the machine it boots fine again when I try. But when using "halt -p", the same problem apperas again! Maybe it's a bug in OpenBSD halt program... or do these machine have batteries? Myabe it's a bad battery?

If you attach a serial cable to port A you can see the output of POST, this will tell you if the system has a memory fault. You cannot view POST outpu on the screen.
