solaris 9 ifconfig problem

hello i am georgei don't no anything about solaris 9 i am new user and i have problems... first : how i set my pc to the net (ip ... if config... ?) thanks...if i help the answer after write "ifconfig bge0 auto-dhcp start " is not propried interface.

Hallo,

if you ethernet card is not plumbed type

ifconfig bge0 plumb

ifconfig bge0 auto-dhcp

after you can verify with ifconfig bge0

Also if wou want reconfigure you server to use the dhcp you can "unconfigure" and reconfigure it with command sys-unconfig

Your question is not in the correct forum.

I believe you will obtain better guidance if you post it to the Network forum.

That would be a better place to find out how to fine-tune all the software for a connection, particularly since your hardware does NOT seem to be a computer manufactured by Sun.
