Error on OBDIAG testing

hi, i have na sun UltraSparc II 450 server. i try to install an other operating system for testing and seeing how it works with it. i intall debian 3.1 on this server. after some small problems operating system is starts working. here is my problem, server cooling fans doesn't stop after system goes up. then i open obdiag test program and fist procedure 1. SUNW,<a href="mailto:envctrl&#64;14" target="_blank">envctrl@14</a>,60000 parameters fails during this test and give ' testing /<a href="mailto:pci&#64;1f" target="_blank">pci@1f</a>,4000/<a href="mailto:ebus&#64;1" target="_blank">ebus@1</a>/SUNW,<a href="mailto:envctrl&#64;14" target="_blank">envctrl@14</a>,600000 Data Access Error' message.

what can i do to fix this problem? how can i do fans works properly?

you may need to upgrade the firmware.what does solaris message logs say.you could also have a faulty fan and the others go high to compensate.

thx for your interest, is there any code, patch etc. for controling the fans on Debian you know?
