Has your system been moved lately?

Have you removed any hardware.

your Ultra 10 seems to be complaining about a cdrom and a disk.

these are usually connected internally via the same cable.

I would reseat the cable and confirm you have 2 internal disks.

If you do not have 2 internal disks, confirm your cdrom is connected.

When you bring the system up, perform devfsadm -Cv (solaris 8).

note:If you have any issues please confirm the number of disks in the system, any recent changes .

Stef,

The cdrom and the disk should be connected via 2 different ide cables.

On solaris 2.6.

cd /dev/dsk

ls -l

do you have more than 2 target entries.

e.g c0t0d0s*, c0t2d0s*

if so you are missing some devices that where originally installed.

#drvconfig

#devlinks

#disks

good luck

Hi All,

I am having the same problem with Ultral 10 as yours.

Ultral 10 (1x9GB HDD,CDrom), internal hard disk & CDrom are connected to different cables, the problem just issued after i removed the Creator3D from the system but the system still has the default Video port.

Pls advice me if you have useful solution to fic it already.

Thanks

Solar.
