SVM

How do I reconfigure SVM metadevices after SRDF migration on EMC SAN without losing data?

I'm assuming you're not mirroring with SVM.

As long as they occupy the same blocks and you don't have them mounted, I don't see that you need to reconfigure anything. Just mount them up.

You don't have metadbs on those devices, right? That wouldn't work well.

What problem are you having?

During SRDF migration, C#t#d# is going to change. however the size of the LUN's will remain same and data will be copied thru SAN.This will require SVM reconfiguration, correct?

The fact that the numbers will be different on different machines is irrelevant. You're going to have to *configure* (not reconfigure) SVM on the target host to see the luns as metadevices. Configure them identically to the souce host and don't run newfs.

Don't put metadbs on the copied LUNs.

You'll only be mounting them up after pausing the SRDF copies, right?
