Inappropriate ioctl for device errors in /var/adm/messages

I'm getting the following error in /var/adm/messages constantly. I cannot find any obvious problems with the server or disks.

Jun 15 10:59:44 crcimg1 EventProvider[1248]: [ID 903722 daemon.warning] disklist_scsi: ioctl(USCSICMD) - Bad address

Jun 15 10:59:44 crcimg1 EventProvider[1248]: [ID 855433 daemon.warning] disk_devnode: ioctl(DKIOCINFO) - Inappropriate ioctl for device

Jun 15 10:59:44 crcimg1 EventProvider[1248]: [ID 605526 daemon.warning] disk_devnode: ioctl(CGGEOM) - Inappropriate ioctl for device

Jun 15 10:59:44 crcimg1 EventProvider[1248]: [ID 598463 daemon.warning] disklist_devnode: ioctl(DKIOCGVTOC) - Inappropriate ioctl for device

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Forums are a really good concept, however I can never seem to find the answers to the question that are asked. Did anyone answer your question?

My problem looked like this:

Jul 21 07:42:57 hs01db20 last message repeated 1 time

Jul 21 07:42:57 hs01db20 EventProvider[28377]: [ID 956134 daemon.warning] disk_devnode: ioctl(CGGEOM) - I/O error

Jul 21 07:42:57 hs01db20 EventProvider[28377]: [ID 279401 daemon.warning] disklist_devnode: ioctl(DKIOCGVTOC) - I/O error

Then it stops with nothing written to the log since....
