Does external SE SCSI slow down internal Ultra160 disks on V-240

I have a Sun V-240 and want to attach an old SE SCSI tape drive (its wide SCSI) to the external multimode SE/LVD interface.Question is, will this SE device slow the the internal Ultra160 SCSI bus that my disk drives are connected to?thanks John,

According to InfoDoc 21216:

disk 1/pci@1c,600000/scsi@2/sd@0,0

disk 2/pci@1c,600000/scsi@2/sd@1,0

disk 3/pci@1c,600000/scsi@2/sd@2,0

disk 4/pci@1c,600000/scsi@2/sd@3,0

External SCSI bus/pci@1c,600000/scsi@2,1

scsi@2,1 would indicate a second, unique controller, that should create another Cnumber (c2t0d0) when you attach a device to it. It should have no effect on scsi@2

Google searching on LSI 53C1010 indicates this chip is dual port as well.
