can't get to the boot prompt

I've a server (SF v880) configured with RAID 1 mirror using solstice disksuite 4.2.1 on solaris 8. The auto-boot is set to "true". When I reboot the server with "shutdown -i6 -g0 -y"), the server got stucked at the stage at the banner screen. I was unable to get to boot prompt using the console keyboard. What should I do to get to the boot prompt?

Hi from the error message which you are reporting i'm shure the auto boot option has not been set to true at this point where U get the banner screen after reboot it's a Firm ware state or boot prom.Where U get the ok > prompt ,check whether the auto boot option has been set to ture by typing printenv in the #ok >promt.

U can say #boot in the ok prompt the system would come up,but this U've to do again if U do reboot are complete shutdown poweroff .Setting auto boot paramete would be the best way out.

The system need not be brought down to Firmware state to check NVRAM parameters U can do it while the system is in multi user mode use the command for default parameters NVRAM setting#eeprom" electronicaly erasable programable read only memory"

Cheers
