How do I configure my SUN machine to work with a router.

I have a Netgear router. Configured it with XP & NT. Could not do on Solaris. I run Solaris 8. Here is the documentation "If you are installing the router with a Unix-based computer, see your system documentation to set up TCP/IP networking to obtain IP addresses automatically using DHCP".

How do I do that...?

How do I know that I have TCP/IP networking on my Solaris machine...?
