SunPCI 1.3 and W2K Professional

Have Ultra60 with Solaris 9 and SunPCI card with 400Mhz cpu and 192Mb memory and SunPCI Version 1.3 with the 110762 patch. Works great on Windows NT4, except for an occasional freeze of the entire Ultra60, but I really want to use Windows 2000. I have setup both W2K and NT. Windows 2000 seems to work fine except for LAN connectivity. Copying a 20Mb file to a remote W2K server takes only a few seconds on the NT setup, but takes minutes on the Windows 2000 setup. Local apps seem to work fine on Windows 2000. I did setup the SunPCI network environment to talk directly to the Ultra60 and that did not help.

Docs indicate that W2K SP1 is not supported. Still true? I have been testing the setup without any Windows service packs. What W2K service packs are other folks running?

Is SunPCI even supported on Solaris 9? I had to copy the Solaris 8 drivers to get the sunpci command to start.

Help! Thanks, Alex Moore

Hello friend:

I have Windows2000 running under SunPCI I 1.3 and Solaris 9 and it runs OK.

I have installed SP4 without problems.

How did you do this?

I can't connect from SunPCI to Solaris...i have to use an external router.... Is possible to do a direct conection?

Reading SunPCI docs i read that you can access Solaris resources from Windows....But....you have to run Samba...isn't it?

Thank'.s
