lost+ found directory regarding

Hi all;

In my E250 server there is a directory under /var/Lost+found which is a inode number .

Looks like #188993.

When i cd into #188993 and do a 'ls -l' it shows me the / (root) file system contents.

Now do i need to move the inode back ?or can i just remove it from under /var/lost+found?

the df -k looks like this:

The root is 70% full ....but im sure there isnt any much data to make it 70%.

Is it possible that the /var/lost+found/#188993 is adding to this?

Any help sincerely appreciated

Given than /var is a separate filesystem, it won't be using any space from /

Was a restore of the root filesystem done to /var/tmp or another directory in /var?

It's possible that this was done and the system crashed / rebooted /lost power / gave up the will to live during the restore which mangled the restore point causing it to be reconstituted into lost+found on a reboot / fsck.
