Identity Synchronization (isw-12004Q3) installation fails on solaris 10
I am trying to install ""Sun Java System Identity Synchronization for Windows 1 2004 Q3" on top ofDirectory Server Q1 2005 on Solaris 10 to synchronize user attributes with Windows 200 AD server. The installation fails giving a library not found error after I give the LDAP credentials. and the log file under /var/sdam/install/logs says ...
"All requisite patches appear to be present.
ERROR: The installer could not locate the following file: jss3.jar "
I didn't see any solaris 10 patches . According to Sun docs, this happens normally when you upgrade 1.0 to new IWS versions. For solaris 8/9 there are patches to fix this.
Any one experienced this issue? Please help
Thanks

Hello Deva,
I would suggest you to check you use the 03/05 Solaris 10 release,
and not a previous one like the 12/04 release which add issues with
the nss and jss libraries.
Just look at the /etc/release file in order to determine your exact S10
release.
One more thing: check that you meet the minimum software requirements
for IDSync, in particular the JDK or JRE which must be 1.4.2_04 or
above (but not 1.5.x, since it may work but Sun won't support you )
Hope this helps .

Thanks for the response .
I am using Solaris 10 03/05 . The JDK was 1.5.0_01 .
I tried with JDK 1.4.2_06 but getting the same error.
I had also installed Message Queue 3.5 Enteprise Edition since it was a pre-requisite for ISW.
Also, I do see /usr/share/lib/mps/secv1/jss3.jar
Thanks
Deva.

So it appears 2005Q4 will be released sometime in October, which is too late for me to wait for. Is anyone aware of a way to implement ISW on S10? I'd really rather implement everything on S10, rather than S9, but waiting until October will be too late.

Ok. Identity Synchronization for Windows 1 2004Q3 SP1 is now available at Sun download center. This should now work on solaris 10.
