sunfire v250 boot problem after commad sys-unconfig

I have a sunfire v250 with solaris 10 installed.

I have use the command sys-unconfig to configure this server in my local network.

After reboot, I have asked to select the language but the keyboard don't work. Impossible to enter a letter and impossible too to enter openboot(i have use the combination keys stop A or stop Q).

How can I resolve this problem?

thank,

Two possibilities come to mind.

1) That system is a server, not a workstation, despite its shape as a mid-tower form factor. The default input and output devices are therefore NOT keyboard/mouse/screen, but would be the serial management port and/or ALOM, whichever had been set up.

[ ... defaulting to the RJ45 shaped Serial MGMT port on the rear of the chassis ]

If that is the root issue here, then you'll need to TIP into the system to reconfigure your sysconfig.

2) If the system was reconfigured to use keyboard/mouse/screen for default console, then the other thing to check would be the position of the Operation Switch.

That's behind the front bezel.

Again, the V250 is a server and if the switch is in any sort of locked position, you won't have any input ability. Make sure it's pointing to the simple ON position and start all over again.

Find the Sun System Handbook website, find the V250 in the Systems List, and go get the system documentation in PDF format.
