HW Monitoring
Hi all,
there is any chance to monitor fan speed, cpu temperature etc. on sun platforms like this:
bash-2.03$ uname -a
SunOS dev 5.8 Generic_108528-29 sun4u sparc SUNW,UltraAX-i2
bash-2.03$ /usr/platform/SUNW,UltraAX-i2/sbin/prtdiag
System Configuration: Sun Microsystems sun4u Netra T1 200 (UltraSPARC-IIe 500MHz)
?
Prtdiag don't show enough. Is SNMP (sun.mib) a way?
How get the /var/adm/messages the kern.error or kern.warning entry's with informtaion about temperature or something else?
best regards,
Gtimm

Hello Timm,
did you review the User's Guide or Service Manual for the Netra T1 200 ?
At the moment I can't access my documentation.
EDIT: I just reviewed the "Just The Facts" document., HW monitoring is available via LOM or SNMP.

Lights out management (LOM)
With the LOM module, the Netra T1 server can be configured to allow administrators to monitor the system board, fan power/rpm, and temperature via a dedicated LOM serial port, combined console/LOM serial port, or alarm software that can be tied into SNMP. The LOM module also has a remote power on/off and power cycle.
