Sun Ultra 10 Boot Failure
Hello Support,
I have a Sun Ultra 10 used as a workstation for medical equipment/applications. Every morning when it is turned on, it begins to boot up and gives a Boot Failure message for a:. All I do is cycle power and unit comes up correctly. What could be causing this?, Bad sector on HD?, Corrupt software? Any info/help appericated.

Aaron,
These are discussion forums, not Sun technical support.
Individual users, just like yourself, discuss their issues, share their experiences, and give tricks and tips.
If you have any sort of service contract coverage
(either with Sun Microsystems or with a 3rd party vendor such as GE Medical)
then open a service case via whatever procedure is appropriate.
The amount of information you have provided is far from adequate for any sort of quick diagnosis.
You could be seeing a hardware issue or you could be seeing a software issue.
For example, I am confused by your reference to a:
PC's reference their floppy drive with that sort of a naming convention.
Sun systems do not. (Never)
