Blank Screen V880's

Solaris newB here. We have a couple of v880s that seems to be on a Power Save mode: Blank Screen. Is there a way to redirect video signals to the monitor? We can still remotely login, but the video display from the direct usb connection does not seem to be sending the signal the usb port.I searched all around before I decided to post here. BTW, this is a harden system. Thanks.

A side note: eeprom settings for output, input are rsc-console. Should this be set to screen & keyboard? The weird thing is that the direct connection to the keyboard input will be redirected output of the rsc-console. Shouldn't this take input from only the rsc-console?

The V880 is a server and not usually used with monitor. Why can't you use the system from the serial/RSC card? The system manual will have more details about obp configuration.

you're right, normally servers aren't typically connect to a keyboard or monitor. However, pre-jumpstart allowed us to use the monitor before. After jumpstart, we weren't able to get video display anymore. If it was up to me, serial/rsc is fine. However, we work in an environment where we have to please others as well =).

Well, it looks like the usb connection is working: 1) the keyboard is lighted up 2) we see direct input outputted to the console. I would imagine that the signals are redirected elsewhere, or disabled. Do know if I can enable this, or redirect the video signals?

Thanks,

Vince
