V240 and ALOM network card

Hi everyone,

Well, we got a problem with that network ALOM card ... :-/

We defined it quite well, IP adress and all the easy stuffs but we can't ping it !

We tried to connect by the serial port and it was ok. Our cables are good and the switch is a 10Mb one. Btw, it happens on 4 of our servers and 6 other SUN V240 servers (connected on the same switch) works good !

We simply don't understand what goes wrong ... what did we missed ?

Ok, we got it ! :-/

That was trivious ... the 4 servers were connected to a separate hub ! and a $%* just took the network cable relaying the two hubs <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_sad.gif" border=0 alt="Sad">

Anyway, the problem is solved and if you got the same trick : have a GOOD look of your cables before posting like me ! <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_wink.gif" border=0 alt="Wink">
