Can I mix different memory size on cpu/memory board ?
For example
I have to mix 512MB SDRAM DIMM(X7051A) with 1GB SDRAM DIMM(X7056A) on the same cpu/memory board.
I use cpu/memory board on SUN Fire E4900.
I don't know that work. Pls help me.

Most Sun systems use DIMM banks and the configuration rule is simple, only DIMMs of the same size are to be installed in any bank. I cannot say that this rule will apply to your system. I would say that having a system like this will give you access to SunSolve, there you will find all the configuration documentation that will outline the configuration rules for the system. If the system is past the 1 year hardware warranty, I would suggest that you renew the warranty prior to making <b>ANY</b> changes to the systems hardware configuration.
