Swapping DVD between V40z and V20z

Hello

Recently we bought a new V40z and a new V20z. One to run Windows(40) (boo! <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile"> ) and one to run Solaris(20)

However, the V20z only came with a CDROM drive and I only have the latest version of Solaris 9 on DVD. The V40z however came with a DVD drive and I had Windows media on CDROM

So, out came the screwdriver and a quick swap over later, you wouldn't even know I had swapped the drives

The V40z went rocking through with the CDROM drive and is now running Windows

However, the V20z refuses to even acknowledge the DVD-ROM's drive existence which is giving me a slight problem when installing Solaris

To me, what I've done is nothing special, but is there any reason why the V20z can't use a DVD-ROM drive? or is the one from the V40z different and only works in a V40z?

Pretty sure cables are in properly (annoying little basket connections) and the green light flashes at the front when it powers up

Anyone else seen this or can help?

This is an unusual question, there are differences between the model of DVD supported in both machines, but the handbook has no reference to any reason why this configuration may not work. What I would do in your shoes is download Solaris for CD and burn a set of disks, then do the installation with the server in standard config, hell of a lot less hassle than swapping parts around!
