PCI SERR errors

I'm looking for good documentation for troubleshooting PCI SERR errors. Any links? Thanks.

This is a link from the sample handbook, you could probably get more info with spectrum contract.

What is the spectrum contract?

A Spectrum contract is how Sun references all their service contracts.

They run the spectrum from Bronze, to Silver, to Gold, through to Platinum. You can purchase coverage for hardware or for software or for both, as may apply to your circumstances.

When you have service contract coverage, you have access to more of Sun's intellectual property (information, knowledge, service, support) than what might be freely available.

Any one have "How to recognize, diagnose, and troubleshoot PCI SERR errors on UltraSPARC(R) II, IIi, IIe based systems." documentation for UltraSPARC III?

ummmm.....

Isn't that the link that was given to you, above?

PCISERR is pciserr, is pciserr, etc, etc, etc

It occurs in the PCI data bus, not in a cpu.

(See the first paragraph of "WHAT CAUSES A PCI ERROR?")

It really does not matter what generation UltraSPARC module is in the system, and that may be why the Infodoc was never updated and retired out to that public document archive.

Remove all adapter cards and re-install them one at a time, stress-testing the system until you see the errors again.

My guess is that you have a 3rd party card that may need to be replaced by your storage vendor.Emulex, perhaps?
