slow graphics on W1100z

Hello,

I am running windows xp on a W1100z. The graphics card is a Nvidia Quadro FX 500. I am experiencing extremely slow graphics performance when I use Ansoft's HFSS. I also have the same problem when I use the 3D visualisation module in Agilent's Momentum. The performance is so poor that there are literally seconds of frame lag whenever I change the view angle in either HFSS or Momentum by dragging the mouse.

I am wondering if anyone had similar problems? I tried updating the graphics driver but without success. The issue seems to be specific to the W1100z machine only.

Your issue may seem particular to the W1100z, but it is actually an issue that exists within the software environment you are running.

If you had the original Sun-provided OS running, we might be able to find someone to point you in the correct direction, but I fear no one in these HARDWARE forums will choose to touch an issue in an environment from Redmond.

... even in the Sun universe, issues with the functionality, configuration, and performance of video circuitry is handled exclusively by the OS support team, not by anyone in hardware support.
