HELP WITH SUN ULTRA 10 KEYBOARD PLEASE. (CUT, PASTE, COPY, FORWARD, OPEN keys don't work)

Please I need your help!!!! I need to use the left keyboard of my SUN ULTRA 10. The keyboard that has 10 keys (Stop, Props, Forward, Open, Search, Repeat, Esc, Copy, Paste and Cut), don't work and is very important for me to get this keys availables... at least the "Forward key". Do you know how can I solve this problem? Do you know if I need to modify a file or the configuration of my UNIX user?

Thanks in advance.

left keyboard? there is only one outlet for a keyboard in the U10 and it is clustered with the sound plugins.... PLEASE tell me you are not trying to use a keyboard under the frame buffer!

and of course, you are using a Sun keyboard... right?

Hello Harold,

I need to use the left keyboard of my SUN ULTRA 10. The keyboard that has 10 keys (Stop, Props, Forward, Open, Search, Repeat, Esc, Copy, Paste and Cut),..

left keyboard = keypad on the left with function keys (Stop, Repeat, ..., Search, Cut).

ok, now the question... what OS are you using? Solaris 8/9/10? some linux distro? a *BSD distro? from what little I have seen via a google search is that it may be a software issue if you aren't running Solaris...

I have never needed these keys ...

I do believe it's software-specific, and you need to be in a GUI such as CDE or Gnome.I cannot ever recall using them in CLI mode.

You might consider posting this to one of the numerous Solaris forums (unless you're not using Solaris, then a Sun forum would not apply)
