Is your cable known as good (= correctly wired) ?

Are the communication settings correct (9600,8-bit,no parity,1 stop bit) ?

Hi Michael

thanks for responce

db9 conecttor cable fine bcoz it's working fine another v100

machine and hyperterminal setting is same. Another V100 machine is not showing LOM port .

How to connect via LPT (DB25)connector bcoz in my hyperterminal setting not LPT Port Only com1,com2, and TCP/IP (winsock) is available. Another Idea for reinstall OS

solaris 9 without LOM please reply.

Thanks

Deepak

Hello Deepak,

the LOM port of the V100 is <u>serial</u> A (RJ45).

<i>How to connect via LPT (DB25)connector </i>

It's impossible to connect via LPT (<u>parallel</u>) port.

<i>db9 conecttor cable fine bcoz it's working fine another v100</i>

Use the same setup: Cable attached to the V100 serial A and the serial port of your Windows system.

Did you read the documents from the two sticky posts or at least the <b>Sun Fire V100 Server User s Guide</b> (Part-No. 816-2756-10, CHAPTER 3: Communicating With the Server, page 19ff)?

If you're unable to solve the problem with the help/suggestions from a User-To-User forum, open a service case with Sun or ask a senior admin at your site.
