Sun QFS, SAM-FS, and SAMQFS
Today, i am studying and implementing ILM software for my SAN. Because all of our product (server and storage) are Sun product, so i choose Sun QFS, SAM-FS, and SAMQFS software. And the problem is i can find the diffrent beetwen them. Can anybody tell about the diffrent and the function of each software.

In reality there are two pieces of the code base.
The first, is QFS which lets you have multiple hosts access the same filesystem, either in shared reader or shared writer.
The second is SAM which is the archiving part.
You can combine the two or use them seperately. QFS is just the multihost fs part. SAM is the archived. SAM-QFS is a combination of the two.

hallo all, thanks to respond my question.my second question in this forum. I wanna implement ILM in our storage network system. But I still confuse about this software. Which one that that trully for ILM. Should I implement one of them or all of software. thanks.

i want test the SAM-FS software. I got the package from my friend, but it is not complete. when i run the package the result is file corupt. where i can download the package (SUNWsamfsr and SUNWsamfsu). helpme pls, i need this soon, because the deadline. thanks
