e 4 50 and stor edge A 10 00

Hello,

A disk has failed on my stor edge array one thousand, on an enterprise 450. My volume manager is VERITAS with sun cluster 2.2 on the box. Also Raid manager 6 is loaded.

Do I need to use RM 6 manager to replace the failed disk ?

Is it okay to run RM 6 GUI while VERITAS is running ?

This server is a production server

It has two storedge array boxes, in a cluster.

Another problem is that I need to replace a defective battery in one of the storedge arrays'

Question: Is there a correct sequence to bring down the storage arrays ?

Should the server be brought down first and then the arrays switched off ?

How should they be rebooted ? Server first then arrays OR altogether ?

RM6 should be used to replace the failed drive.
