StorEdge 6320, volume group initiator group problems

Hi

I am working on a StorEdge 6320 system (with a 2x2, 6120 array ) and have created two storage pools. One for each tray. I've create two volume groups that each have associated with them 13 volumes. (a total of 26 volumes per tray/storage pool). I have also created 4 initiator groups and associated an initiator wwn to one of the initiator groups. Now I would expect to see 13 volumes on the host with the initiator wwn. But instead I see 26 volumes (the storage pool total). Actually I also see those from the other pool, but cannot obtain drive geometry etc. so this might be ok.

After some testing (changing initiator, initiatorgrp and volgroup association) it appears that the system doesn't honor the volumegroups, initiator groups relations. Actually testing indicate that only wwn association with storage pools appear to honored. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Any help, insight or comments will be appreciated.

Best regards

Hi

Are u able to see the required LUNs from the nodes? ( Assocuiated LUNs) cfgadm -al

Note: if you have two HBA's connetced to a single Node, you will see double LUNS untill you enable MPXIO. ( here 26 instead of 13.) If so please enable mpxio..

"mpxio-disable" field in scsi_vhci.conf file needs to be updated no. hope this wd help.

here we have another issue..

We are using 6320 ( 2 controllers X 4 Bricks 6020) and having problems with it and we are facing different problems.

WWN and initator group mapping is working on our systems... ( TG!!)

But in our system we have 7 nodes connected to SAN and SAN hangs when all of these seven node access Volumes. We have checked and confirmed that there is no volume group miss configuration. We do not use Global filesystems. we do not access any volume from more than a Single Node.
